C&T Mortgage was founded in 2007 by lifelong friends Carrie Panacek and Tami Channel during one of the most difficult periods in the mortgage industry's history.
While many companies were closing their doors following the housing market crash, Carrie and Tami believed there was a better way to serve borrowers. They envisioned a mortgage company where clients would receive honest advice, responsive communication, and personal attention throughout every stage of the lending process.
Starting with two computers and a printer at Carrie's dining room table, they built C&T Mortgage from the ground up. Today, the company has helped thousands of homeowners throughout Texas while remaining true to the values that inspired its founding: integrity, relationships, and exceptional service.
A Friendship That Became a Business
Carrie and Tami have been best friends since they were 12 years old.
Their careers in mortgage lending began separately, with Carrie entering the industry in 2001 and Tami following shortly afterward. Throughout their careers, they continually found themselves working together, building complementary expertise and a shared philosophy centered around putting clients first.
Over the years, they have celebrated life's biggest milestones together, from weddings and raising families to growing a successful business. That lifelong friendship has created a level of trust and collaboration that continues to shape C&T Mortgage today.
